Fancy text is made of special characters, not real fonts. Screen readers may read it badly, so keep it for decoration. Your text never leaves your browser, and the size slider changes the preview only.

How to Use the Bubble Text Generator in 3 Steps

  1. Type a short word

Enter a name or a few words. Bubble letters take up a lot of room, so they work best for short text.

  2. Choose circles or squares

Circled and Black Circles use round shapes, Squared and Black Squares use boxes. Boxed Letters and Corner Boxes wrap every character in brackets instead.

  3. Copy and check the result

Click a style to copy it. Look at the digits and punctuation, since some bubble sets cover only part of the keyboard.

What Is Bubble Text?

Bubble text wraps each letter in a shape: a circle, a square or a pair of brackets. The look is playful and instantly recognizable, a bit like the stickers and labels people stick on notebooks. Unicode includes circled and squared letters because older character sets used them for lists and for enclosed numbers, and they were kept when everything was merged into one standard.

That history shows in the gaps. A set that began as list markers covers letters and a few digits, but not the full keyboard. This page tells you what is missing, so the result never surprises you.

Bubble Styles on This Page

  • Circled places every letter inside an outline circle. It also covers the digits.
  • Black Circles uses solid circles with the letter cut out. It is bold and shows well at small sizes.
  • Squared puts letters in outline boxes. This set has capital letters only, so lowercase becomes uppercase.
  • Black Squares is the solid version of Squared.
  • Parenthesized puts each letter between a pair of brackets.
  • Boxed Letters, Corner Boxes and Double Corners are not real bubble sets. They add bracket characters around normal letters, so they work for any character.

What Bubble Sets Cannot Do

  • Punctuation. Commas, question marks and other symbols have no bubble form, so they remain plain.
  • Squared digits. The squared sets do not include numbers, so digits stay as they are.
  • Emoji look. A few solid square letters can also be shown as emoji on some systems, which may change their color or shape.

Good Uses for Bubble Text

  • A short name or word in a playful bio.
  • Labels for a list, like a bubble letter for each item in a note.
  • Titles for stories, party messages and group chats.
  • Decorating a word to catch the eye in a feed.

Use Bubble Text Carefully

Bubble letters take more width than normal ones, so they fill a bio quickly. They are also hard to read in long sentences. Keep it to a few words, and keep important details in regular text. Usernames and email addresses should never be bubble text, because the characters are not the same as plain letters.

Bubble Text Generator FAQ

Why are some characters not in bubbles?

Unicode has circled and squared forms for letters, and circled forms for some numbers, but not for punctuation. Characters without a bubble version are kept as they are instead of showing a box.

Are there bubble digits?

Circled and Black Circles include digits from 0 to 9. Squared, Black Squares and Parenthesized differ, so check the preview for the numbers you need.

Why do Black Squares sometimes look like emoji?

A few of the black square letters, such as A, B, O and P, are also treated as emoji on some systems and can appear in color or with a different shape. The other letters stay plain.

Are bubble letters readable?

Circled letters are easy to read in short words, but long sentences turn into a wall of circles. Use them for a name, a label or a decorative line.

Can I use bubble text in a username?

Many username fields accept only basic characters, so bubble letters are often refused. They are more likely to work in a display name, a bio or a message.

What are Boxed Letters and Corner Boxes?

They put brackets around every character instead of using a special letter shape. Because the letters inside are normal, they stay readable and work in more places than the true bubble sets.
